Aquila European Renewables Income Fund plc (LON:AERS) is to purchase the 9.6-MW Svindbaek II onshore wind farm, a three-turbine portion of the larger Svindbaek complex in Denmark.

The fund said Monday it will acquire the three wind turbines for around EUR 13.2 million (USD 14.1m). After finalising the purchase of the 22.4-MW Svindbaek in December 2019, Aquila will now get to own all turbines associated with the Danish wind farm.

The Svindbaek II turbines have been spinning since 2018, operating under a feed-in premium tariff contract for a fixed volume of production that is seen to last for another nine years.

The transaction will be Aquila’s third acquisition of a wind project in Denmark, the fund noted.
