Survey outfit to carry out site investigations for project off Jutland.

Danish transmission system operator Energinet has selected marine surveyor MMT to carry out seabed surveys for a new 800MW offshore wind farm off Denmark.

MMT will carry out a seabed survey of the project’s proposed 440 square kilometre array area, which lies off the west coast of Jutland, according to recently published tender documents.

The survey will gather data on soil conditions down to a depth of 60 metres and will be carried out this year.

Water depths in the proposed array area are between 15 and 45 metres.

MMT will also this year carry out surveys across two proposed 65 kilometre export cable routes for the new wind farm.

Export cable surveys will begin in Q3 and the contract includes options for further survey work next year.
