Base opened at Grimsby’s Royal Dock in east England for 857MW offshore wind farm.

The offshore construction services team for Innogy’s 857MW Triton Knoll offshore wind farm has moved into new facilities at Grimsby’s Royal Dock in east England.

The facility will be the headquarters for offshore construction, which is set to kick off next year off the coast of Lincolnshire.

Innogy said the team will manage the hundreds of offshore technicians, crews and scores of specialist vessels working on the project from the first quarter of 2020.

Work is continuing on the adjacent operations and maintenance base office and separate warehousing facilities, it added.

The O&M base will manage the long-term operations of the project, Innogy said.
